Adam Williams

Accountant

Professional Background:

I have been working in accountancy for the last 3 years, after graduating from university in Business Studies where I found a great interest in Accountancy. I joined Accsys Accountants at the beginning of 2019 and met Matt through a fantastic charity golf day that he organised, which has led me to being involved with Lymphoedema United. I am involved in all the standard statutory work: accounts, tax returns etc and with my background of Business Studies, I have an interest in the full picture of how to run and grow a business.

The idea Lymphoedema United is fantastic, giving all the necessary information in one place, in a clear and easy to find way to those affected by the widespread condition, and I am privileged to be involved in the project.

My role for Lymphoedema United consists of monitoring all the financials in the background and providing guidance and advice on any financial matters or issues that may arise as the project moves forward and supplying key financial information to support in decision making, as well as producing and filing year end accounts and the company tax return.

Personal Information:

Outside of work, I am heavily involved in sports and always have been from a young age. My main interest has always been football and I have played to a relatively high standard, but also enjoy a large variety such as mountain biking, golf, and karting. I would love to branch out into the world of winter sports next and learn to ski and play ice hockey.

When not playing or watching sports, I like to explore as much of the world as I can, whether that be travelling abroad, going out for a walk, or a weekend break somewhere in the UK.
