Kurt Robinson

Accountant

Professional Background:

I have been working in accountancy for the last 7 and a half years, after graduating university with Upper Second-Class Honours in Business and Accounting. I worked at various companies producing year-end accounts and completing audits, with some client contact, which I decided I wanted to seek more of.

This brought me to Accsys, where I currently work and met Matt for the first time, working as the contact on another business he was involved in, which led to the natural progression of being involved with Lymphoedema United. I am involved in all the standard statutory work: accounts, tax returns, but what I really enjoy is being the contact point for client and being there to be able to run ideas by and really help ideas push on and for businesses to grow.

When Matt first mentioned to me the idea of Lymphoedema United I thought it sounded like a really good idea, but upon further conversations I realised just how widespread this could become and just how many people live with the condition. It is the sheer number of people that this could reach and support that makes me grateful and excited to be involved with this project.

My role for Lymphoedema United consists of monitoring all of the financials in the background and providing guidance and advice on any financial matters or issues that may arise as the project moves forward and supplying key financial information to support in decision making, as well as producing and filing year end accounts and the company tax return.

Personal Information:

Outside of work, I am a keen sportsman, and have competed to a good standard in many sports, from football and rugby to athletics and martial arts. I have also recently taken up golf, so much of my spare time is spent trying to improve at that (I’m just starting out!) and exploring various corners of Kent countryside with my 2 dogs, Lucy and Tilly. I am also an adrenaline junkie, and am about to embark on training to enable me to skydive solo.
